A word about online kayak sales and shipping charges

Hard shell kayaks from online retailers are often subject to oversize shipping fees ranging from $100 to $250. For the same reason, most used kayak listings from private sellers are for local pickup only.

To find used kayaks for sale in your local area, we recommend selecting the "advanced" search option in the blue bar above. Enter your zip code and the distance within which you want to search--the distance you're willing to drive to pick up your kayak.

Most of our new kayak listings are retailed through REI, and free shipping is available for any items ordered from the REI catalog if delivery is made to any REI store. If you live close to an REI outlet, request this free shipping option during checkout. Your kayak will be delivered to the store you specify, and you'll be notified when it arrives.

Shipping costs for inflatables are usually less, and some manufacturers like Sea Eagle offer free shipping for many of their products. We'll also post any special free shipping offers from different companies as they become available.
